About Melissa

Buying or selling a home is one of the most important transactions most people ever make.  You need someone you can trust, respect and who will negotiate in your best interest.  My goal and responsibility is to make that transaction as seamless as possible.  I will communicate with you through every step of the process and you will never feel like you are left in the dark.

ABOUT ME

I was born and raised in Cheboygan, growing up on the Cheboygan River fishing, boating the Inland Waterway and enjoying all that this area has to offer.  After earning a Bachelor of Arts from Michigan State University I returned home.  My husband and I love the outdoors and spend as much time as work allows boating on the Great Lakes and Inland Waterway.  

PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND

Since earning my real estate license in 2005, I have averaged 45-55 transactions a year, selling residential homes, waterfront properties, vacant land, acreage and commercial properties.  In 2012, I earned my Associate Broker's license and in 2016, I took over as the Managing Broker of the Coldwell Banker Schmidt office in Cheboygan.  In addition to my real estate career, I am also involved in several community committees having served as President of the Cheboygan Area Chamber of Commerce, a board member of the Chamber of Commerce and I am currently serving on the Cheboygan Economic Development Group, helping to bring businesses to our area.
