What do Clients Say?

As a first time seller, Robert made the process of selling my home as easy and stress-free as possible. To be completely honest, at the beginning of the selling process and shopping around for the right REALTOR, I was beginning to lose confidence that I would receive even close to what I thought my house was worth. This was the first house that I bought and I had completely renovated it from front to back to create my dream home. Robert saw that my house wasn't just a 2 bedroom 1 bath cottage, he saw that it was an urban oasis with outdoor living, tons of privacy, and super accessible to all the conveniences of the city. Robert was referred to me by a friend and I knew almost immediately after meeting with him that we shared the same views about my home and that he knew the history and potential of our neighborhood and what people were looking for and how to attract the right buyer. As a contractor that is detail-oriented, a bit of a perfectionist, and little bit of a control freak, it's difficult for me to let go of some things for other people to work on. Robert, was super responsive when I had questions, /concerns/comments about things that I could do before the sale to further improve the house, what sales trends were like during Shelter In Place, and how my house was going to be presented to buyers. Many times, without me even asking, he gave me updates on how the sale of a neighboring house was trending. His attentiveness was really assuring and made me feel more comfortable during the selling process and confident that we were going to receive what I thought my house was valued at. And we did! I was astonished by the presentation and the response that we were receiving once the home was listed on MLS. The staging, photography, videography, and marketing on various digital and print platforms was spectacular and very approachable. He was able to highlight the attention to detail in the home as well as make it feel inviting. He even painted pictures (metaphorically speaking) of how future homeowners could utilize the space. In just 7 days there over 100 walk-threws (in a time of a pandemic no less), he kept me updated each day on the responses from other agents and I was continually surprised with how many people were interested in my home. And when he told me that there were over 30 offers on the house, I was honestly speechless. I received offers that were well over what I thought I was going to get. We set a new record in my neighborhood receiving over $1000 per sq. ft. I'm so happy that Robert represented me and my home, he saw it's value from day 1 and over-delivered on our sale goal. He gave me confidence during the selling process. His knowledge of the area and process as well as his attentiveness was so assuring. On a scale of 1 - 10 I would rate him an 11. If I choose to buy or sell in the future I would 100% work with Robert again.

Working with Robert was an absolute pleasure. Being a first time home buyer is daunting as is, but tack on the Bay Area housing market, and an international pandemic on top of that and you have yourself the perfect storm of house hunter stress. Despite all of these hurdles and our complete ignorance of the home purchasing process, Robert carefully and effectively chauffeured us to the finish line. Beyond the basic house showing aspects of his work, Robert was sure to thoroughly explain any issues he noticed with every home we visited. From teaching us about various types of roofing, to expressing concerns over drains leading to a houses foundation, Robert gave us a detailed crash course on the basics of home ownership and maintenance. He made sure that we understood what we were looking at and what we were potentially getting ourselves into. Robert's level of communication can only be described as supernatural. He was readily available through text, phone call, or even the web-app with a response time that could rival a cobra strike. With the level of stress involved in this process, having someone so responsive was both an incredible asset and an amazing luxury. Another important detail I'd like to emphasize is the time Robert took to understand what we were looking for in a home. Rather than simply shotgunning a variety of houses seeing which one would stick, Robert put in the work to find a number of homes that best suited our needs. Being in the Bay Area housing market, it was an incredible boon that Robert was able to find so many homes that fit our ideal criteria. I can not stress enough how great it was to work with Robert. He will hands down be our number one reference to anyone ever looking to purchase a home. Not only is he a capable and competent Real Estate Agent, but he is also just a really good guy. It is clear that he works hard to make sure his clients are educated, comfortable, and satisfied with every aspect of the home buying process. Though we do not plan on going through this ordeal again any time soon, I would gladly work with Robert on any and all future home purchases

We worked closely with Robert for over a year before he helped us find our dream home. Reflecting on this past year of mad house search, I don't know how Robert found the patience to work with us through multiple house visits (during Covid nevertheless), multiple offers, and plenty of emotional ups and downs that came with this process. As first time home buyers, we came into the market completely clueless about what we wanted in a house, how much we should budget for one, and how to bid on a house strategically. Thankfully, Robert was there to guide us all the way. He was great at communication, always available to jump on a call to address our concerns, and very responsive with emails. As we began this house search process, he spent a lot of time asking questions about our personal preferences and listening to our descriptions of what our short term and long term goals are for a house. Our personal preferences for the house conditions, prices, and ambiance have changed a lot since we embarked on this journey, but Robert somehow managed to adapt to our constantly changing perspectives. He helped us manage our expectations, explained the process of shopping for a house, from reading and filtering out red flags inside a disclosure, to understanding market conditions and performing comparative analysis in order to have a winning bidding strategy. On the day of the offer, he patiently walked us through the sequence of events that would be happening, what kind of communication he would be having with the listing agent, and how we would leverage our agreed-upon bidding strategy to make sure we were competitive. And Robert was also there for the heartache whenever our bid fell through, where he not only consoled us but also helped us re-evaluate our strategy and find room for improvement. We cannot express our appreciation for Robert enough, as we sit cozily in our new home while the Bay area is being inundated with rain, thinking about the trials and tribulations we went through to get this home, which would not have been possible without Robert's help and guidance.

About Robert

One part entrepreneur and two parts problem solver, Robert had all the makings of a great Realtor® before he held his first open house. Equipped with a passion for personal finance, sound investment strategies, and a keen eye for building value, he parlayed a career in project management into a thriving business focused on helping people find their place in the world.

One of the rare agents who both began their career and flourished when the industry took a downturn, Robert’s drive, work ethic, and personal ethos couldn’t come more highly recommended. A truly ego-less agent, he considers it an honor to help families put down roots.

Equipped with the inside track on the East Bay and beyond, Robert’s recommendations are always spot-on, down to the smallest parks and coziest cafes. He geeks out on every bit of detail, from Colonial to 1920 Craftsmans and (his personal favorite) post-war mid-century modern homes. Every home has a story and he loves pouring over the details with clients.

Self-proclaimed as Apple’s “unofficial brand ambassador,” the technophile is as social media savvy as they come and it shows in his marketing strategies. A top-producing agent in his own right, Robert is equal parts hardworking, passionate, and continually giving of his time, energy, and insight. Meet him once and you’ll see why his successes are measured in satisfied clients, and not sales volume. One former fan raved, “He has a knack for making you feel like his only client.” And it’s true, he does.

Robert loves to learn and continually seeks out new and innovative ways to service his clients. When he’s not holding open houses, you’ll find him golfing, hiking, or exploring Tilden Park. You may even find the foodie elbows deep in the Fried Buttermilk Chicken at Grégoire while reading the latest personal development book. This multitasker never stops improving.
