About Amy
I have lived in the Belgrade Lakes Region for over 30 years and proud to call Belgrade home. I have been married to my high school sweetheart Brian for 29 years and together we have raised three children; Katie, Kristy and Jackson.
I graduated from the University of Maine in 1992. At the UMaine I was on the field hockey team and developed a passion for the game that I wanted to share with young girls. Upon graduation from college I began my coaching career which continued for the next 25 years. I was blessed to have had the opportunity to coach thousands of young women at the club (Maine Majestix), high school (Cony and Messalonskee) , and collegiate levels (Colby College). Being a coach allowed me to work with some very talented athletes and win a lot of games….but it is the relationships I formed with those athletes that I cherish most.
The qualities that led to my success as a coach have served me well in real estate. Assisting families in selling or buying a home or camp is a lot like coaching a team to a championship. First and foremost, the ”coach” needs to be well trained and have a great support system. Coldwell Banker Plourde provides me with all the resources I need to be successful. I am surrounded by a great team and support staff. A qualified coach is always well prepared and has a game plan. A skilled coach knows how to calmly handle a challenge or crisis. A caring coach does all of this with compassion and prompt, honest communication.
If you are selling or buying your home or camp, I would welcome the opportunity to join your team!
Community Involvement: I currently serve as Board 1st Chair at the Alfond Youth Center in Waterville, ME. I have been passionate about and supportive of the mission of the AYC for almost 20 years. I currently serve as Chair of the Wellness Committee. Coaching alongside my daughters, I also am the director and head coach at (New England Sport Camp) held at AYC’s Camp Tracy in the summer.
Fun Stuff: My hobbies include traveling, skiing (Nordic and alpine), biking (road and mountain), boating, gardening, quilting and knitting. I love to entertain and cook for family and friends!
